There’s no arguing that Santa Claus has been the best in the industry for centuries. Each year, he’s expected to make billions of stops and deliver thousands of tons of gifts in one night. Thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the Earth, he has approximately 32 hours to successfully carry out this large job.
To illustrate the logistics of this task, we’re assuming that Santa visits 2.1 billion children throughout the world. With an average of 2.5 children per household, it’s estimated that 842 billion stops need to be made on Christmas Eve. Due to the time constraint, Santa has an allotted time of 0.001 seconds to spend delivering gifts and enjoying cookies in each home. We created an infographic to showcase what it would take for Christmas to be successful.
Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy the holiday season. Happy Holidays from your friends at Atran Freight!
